In May 2025, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) registered 59 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately $816 million.
According to a press release from the CDC today, “In May 2025, the CDC registered a total of 59 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately $816 million and could create approximately 44,000 jobs.”
Among the total investment projects, 38 are located outside the special economic zones, while 21 are within those zones. The number of registered investments increased by 34 projects, representing approximately 136%, while investment capital grew by about $570 million, which is roughly 231%, compared to the same period in 2024.
From January to May 2025, there were 290 registered investments, an increase of 137 projects, or about 90%. Total investment capital reached $4.2 billion, a rise of $1.4 billion, or nearly 52%, compared to the same period in 2024.
