Deputy Minister Hadjimanolis visits Brussels for roundtable discussions

Deputy Minister for Shipping Marina Hadjimanolis, is set to visit Brussels to participate in the high-level roundtable, ‘Fisheries and Oceans Dialogues: Help Design the European Ocean Pact’.

This follows an invitation from the EU Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Costas Kadis.

In preparation for Cyprus’ upcoming European Union Council presidency in early 2026, Hadjimanolis will hold key discussions with leading EU officials.

These talks will primarily focus on presenting Cyprus’ priorities and initiatives in the maritime sector, as well as addressing the current issues and challenges that confront European and global shipping.

Hadjimanolis’ agenda includes one-on-one meetings with Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the Greek Commissioner responsible for sustainable transport and tourism; Costas Kadis; and Elizabeth Vozemberg-Vrionidi, chair of the committee on Transport and Tourism Committee.

Finally, she will also meet with the general director of the EU for Transport, Energy, Environment and Education (TREE).
