A significant increase in the activity of hotel accommodations, campsites, and short-term collective accommodations (rooms for rent) was recorded for December 2024, according to Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data released on Wednesday.
December 2024 saw 940,660 arrivals at tourism accommodation facilities, with 2,213,065 overnight stays.
This represents an increase of 3% in arrivals and 3.6% in overnight stays compared to the same month in 2023.
Foreign arrivals and overnight stays increased by 6.5% and 5.9%, respectively, while domestic activity also showed growth, with a 1.5% increase in arrivals and a 2.4% increase in overnight stays.
