ICAP Interested in Investing in EVs in Cambodia

Phnom Penh, February 17, 2025 —

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here at the Peace Palace this afternoon Mr. Zhang Chaomin, Chairman and CEO of Infinite Capital Holdings (ICAP).

On the occasion, Mr. Zhang Chaomin briefed the Cambodian Premier on ICAP’s business operations, saying that the company has focused on investment in the production of new materials, artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and carbon fiber.

He also revealed ICAP’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia in electric vehicles (EVs) as well as in the production of EV components. He attributed the business interest to Cambodia’s complete peace and stability, high and resilient economic growth of around 6 percent despite suffering from the impact of COVID-19 pandemic as well as the high uncertainty of global economy.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed the ICAP’s interest and highlighted the Royal Government’s encouragement for investments in automotive component manufacturing sector as well as other supply chains to supply domestic, regional and global markets.

The Prime Minister encouraged the company to continue conducting detailed studies, and connecting and discussing with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to obtain comprehensive information as well as to understand the Royal Government’s policies being implemented to support and encourage investors in the country.
