The Pich Chenda Waterfall in Battambang province boasts its all-year-round cool ambiance and the waterfall attracts more visitors during the dry season as the temperature increases, especially for the Khmer New Year in April.
Muth Vicheka, a resident of Battambang city, said that he and his family and friends visited the waterfall for the second time this year, as they liked the stunning scenery and the coolness of the waterfall.
Bou Savon, who runs an eatery offering a broad range of local dishes, shared that there are always visitors to the waterfall, especially during the weekends.
She invites more visitors to experience the relaxing, calming atmosphere and the coolness of the waterfall.
As preparations for celebrating the Khmer New Year in less than two months, the local authorities and community members whose livelihoods depend on tourism are starting to renovate the area and upgrade the services there.
Pich Chenda Waterfall is located in Ratanak Mondul district, about 20 kilometres from Battambang provincial town. AKP
