Emirates to launch Dubai-Siem Reap route in June

Emirates announced on March 3 that it will introduce a new flight route between Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Siem Reap province in Cambodia. This initiative aims to boost both tourism and trade between the two countries.

Starting June 3, Emirates will operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Dubai to Siem Reap province, with a stopover in Bangkok, Thailand.

The airline has designed the service to accommodate leisure travelers by providing connections through multiple daily flights from countries such as France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia.

Currently, Emirates also offers daily return flights from Dubai to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, via Singapore.

In 2024, Cambodia’s three international airports served a total of 5.65 million air passengers, marking a 39.8% increase from 4.04 million the previous year, as reported by the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation.

More than 30 international and domestic airlines currently operate services connecting Cambodia to various countries, including those in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as well as China, South Korea, India, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). AKP
