Revenue from tourism up 39.9% y-o-y in April

Revenue from tourism recorded an annual increase of 39.9% in April, with Cystat figures showing it had reached €304.2m in April 2025, compared to €217.4m the corresponding month of the previous year.

For the period of January – April 2025, revenue from tourism is estimated at €582.5m compared to €440.7m in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 32.2%.

The average expenditure per person was €726.42 in April 2025 compared to €651.69 in April 2024, recording an increase of 11.5%.

Tourists from the United Kingdom (the largest tourist market with 36.3% of the total tourists in April 2025) spent on average €89.33 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 15.2% of the total tourists) spent on average €140.08. Tourists from Germany (the third largest market with 7.1%), spent on average €103.23 per day.
