As global markets face growing uncertainty, the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) is calling on the Kingdom’s private sector to embrace innovation, leadership, and bold transformation.

This message took centre stage on Tuesday as the CCC hosted its high-level 2025 Business and Innovation Forum, gathering prominent entrepreneurs, policymakers, and business leaders to chart a resilient path forward for Cambodia’s economy.

The forum provided a platform for entrepreneurs and stakeholders to exchange ideas, understand new trends in emerging technologies, and identify strategies for transforming and developing their businesses.

Held under the theme “The Role of Leadership in Driving Innovation and Business Transformation,” the forum was presided over by Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the CCC and Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) for Cambodia. Distinguished guest speaker, including Mong Reththy, Chairman of the Senate’s Commission 3 and CEO of Mong Reththy Group, delivered a keynote speech based on decades of business experience.

In his opening address, Neak Oknha Kith Meng urged business leaders, investors, and CCC members from across the capital and provinces to align their strategies with Cambodia’s national development goals under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet and the Seventh-Mandate Royal Government.

He called for the private sector to adopt forward-thinking strategies to respond to regional and global economic challenges through innovation, diversification, and adaptability.

“The forum allows participants to gain insights into the realities of doing business in the agriculture sector and the transformation from traditional to modern farming,” said CCC Vice President Lim Socheat, referencing Mong Reththy’s address on overcoming challenges and achieving success through perseverance and innovation.

Neak Oknha Kith Meng also encouraged attendees to actively share experiences and contribute their ideas during discussions with the guest speakers to maximise the forum’s impact on their business operations and investments. He expressed strong hope that the 2025 Business and Innovation Forum would run smoothly and yield fruitful results.

The forum’s first session focused on “Transitioning from Traditional Agriculture to Modern Agro-Industry,” with Mong Reththy offering personal insights into the sector’s transformation.

A panel discussion on “The Role of Leadership in Driving Innovation and Business Transformation” followed, featuring speakers and moderators from both public and private sectors.

Highlighting Cambodia’s political and economic progress over the past two decades, Kith Meng said the nation had transformed into an actively integrated member of regional and global frameworks. He noted that, since the early 2000s, Cambodia has maintained average annual economic growth of 7.7% under a peaceful and stable environment.

The forum concluded with a reaffirmation of its mission: to inspire innovative thinking and practical solutions in response to the fast-changing economic landscape. Through open dialogue and cross-sector exchange, the CCC hopes to help Cambodian enterprises enhance their competitiveness and sustainability on the global stage.
