TUI BLUE Angkor Grace, a new five-star resort located just minutes from the iconic Angkor Wat Temple complex, officially opened its doors on July 30, setting a new benchmark for wellness-focused luxury in Cambodia’s premier tourist destination.

The grand opening ceremony brought together high-ranking government officials, global travel industry leaders, media representatives and distinguished guests, highlighting the strategic importance of Cambodia as a growing hub for sustainable tourism.

Artur Gerber, CEO of TUI BLUE Hotels & Resorts, addressed the audience with a clear message about the company’s commitment to responsible travel and long-term engagement in the region.

“Following the successful debut of our brand in Cambodia earlier this year, we are proud to launch our second property—TUI BLUE Angkor Grace—in one of the most extraordinary cultural destinations in the world,” he said.

“At TUI, we believe in the transformative power of travel—not only for leisure but for learning, connection and positive change. As we begin this new chapter in Siem Reap, we also renew our commitment to sustainability and to preserving what makes this destination so unique,” Gerber added.

German ambassador to Cambodia, Stefan Messerer, underscored the hotel’s alignment with international standards and its contributions to the local community.

“The opening of TUI BLUE Angkor Grace is both timely and significant,” he noted, adding “Its proximity to Angkor Wat, its high design standards and its strong focus on sustainability and community engagement bring clear value—not only for international guests, but also for the local economy and workforce.”

“The thoughtful blending of modern design with Cambodian cultural identity is especially impressive and speaks to the spirit of this destination,” he continued.

Representing the Cambodian government, Minister of Tourism HuotHak praised the opening as a key moment in strengthening tourism cooperation between Cambodia and global partners.

“TUI’s expansion here will play a crucial role in the development of our tourism and hospitality sectors,” he said.

“Hotels such as TUI BLUE Angkor Grace serve as vital gateways to our cultural heritage and natural beauty, inviting travellers from around the world to experience Cambodia’s charm and warmth,” he added.

He reiterated the Kingdom’s readiness to welcome global visitors and investors, noting that “this grand opening is not just a business milestone—it is a shared achievement that reflects our country’s growing stature on the global tourism stage.”

Elain Younn, owner of TUI BLUE Angkor Grace, delivered a heartfelt address during the event, emphasising the resort’s spiritual and cultural mission.

“Together with my team, I am honoured to be part of this journey alongside TUI BLUE—the world’s number one travel and tourism company,” she said. “We are grateful to have the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the governor of Siem Reap and all those who believe in this vision.”

“The time is now for us to join forces and make it possible for people everywhere to experience the magic, wisdom and healing energy that Cambodia and its people have to offer,” she proudly stated.

Operated under the flagship TUI BLUE brand of the TUI Group—the world’s largest travel company—the resort brings a modern, holistic approach to hospitality. TUI BLUE Angkor Grace combines innovation, sustainable practices and local design, offering a seamless guest experience rooted in wellness, personal transformation, and healing.

Positioned as Cambodia’s premier wellness destination, the resort features a world-class spa and hydrotherapy centre, yoga and meditation pavilions, medical wellness facilities and a restaurant offering nutrient-rich cuisine crafted to support health and wellbeing—all set amid lush tropical gardens just minutes from the UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat complex.
