India’s IndiGo to launch direct flights to Cambodia from Nov 13

IndiGo, India’s largest and most preferred passenger airline, has finalised to kick off its direct flight services between Kolkata and Siem Reap from November 13.

IndiGo will operate its Airbus A320neo aircraft three times a week, a statement issued by the company said. Bookings are now open, it added.

Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo, said this would become the carrier’s seventh international location from Kolkata.

“With rising travel demand between the two countries, fuelled by convenient visa rules and growing trade, we are confident that these flights will not only boost tourism but also open new avenues for cultural exchange and economic cooperation.”

IndiGo is a major global airline and the largest in India, operating a fleet of over 410 aircraft, including many Airbus A320neo family aircraft, and flying over 2,200 daily flights to 127 destinations.

It is one of the world’s largest airlines by passengers carried, serving over 120 domestic and international destinations, and also has the world’s largest aircraft order for future growth.
