Phnom Penh, Cambodia – 12 November 2025 – In the framework of the Europe-Cambodia cooperation in education, the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Cambodia, HE Igor Driesmans, together with the Ambassadors of the European Member States, Team Europe organises the fourth edition of the Study in Europe Fair.
The event takes place on 12 November at Koh Pich City Hall, Phnom Penh, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and welcomes students, parents, and the general public to discover opportunities for studying in Europe and available scholarships.
Over 50 European universities partake, offering information on undergraduate and postgraduate programs, exchange opportunities, and scholarships—including through the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Global Gateway. The agenda, list of universities, and registration are available at www.studyineuropekh.com and by scanning the attached QR code.
Distinguished guests, including HE Dr. Hang Choun Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, and HE Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI), co-open the event at 4:30 pm. The ceremony celebrates key milestones in the Europe-Cambodia partnership under the Global Gateway Flagship “Education for green and digital jobs,” highlighting:
- The launch of the first European Global Gateway Scholarship call for water professions (30 scholarships for full Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees in Europe)
- Recognition of 20 Energy Scholarship awardees
- Celebration of over 100 alumni of Masters in Water and Sanitation Engineering
- Award of 185 full scholarships in STEM at 10 Cambodian universities (Bachelor, Master, PhD).
The Study in Europe Fair is free and offers Cambodian students and families the chance to ask questions directly to university representatives, advisors, and Cambodian alumni who have studied in Europe. The European company Decathlon will lead sports activities, and European food will also be available. The event is anticipated to attract more than 1,000 participants.

Through the ‘Choose Europe for Science’ initiative, launched in May 2025, we aim to attract and empower top global talent by guaranteeing world-class learning environments, long-term career development, and full support for scientific freedom,” states HE Igor Driesmans, EU Ambassador to Cambodia.
In the morning of the same day, a fruitful dialogue between Cambodian and European universities and European private sector has taken place, under the auspices of the three leading ministries, i.e. MoEYS, MISTI and Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT), honored by the presence of HE Heng Sour, Minister MLVT, underlines Europe’s dedication to fostering academic cooperation and European quality investment in Cambodia.
