The Undersecretary of State and Spokesman for Civil Aviation has stated that Emirates flights from Cambodia to United Arab Emirates – connecting Phnom Penh to Dubai – should resume in May, after the stoppage due to the pandemic.
Mr. Sin Chanseryvutha, Undersecretary of State and Spokesman for Civil Aviation, stated that the Royal Government of Cambodia has already approved and authorized both the political and technical level for Emirates in the reopening process between Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh-Singapore-Dubai from May 1, 2024 to promote tourist attraction and trade.
He stated that “If nothing changes, Emirates will start operating from May 1, 2024, with seven flights a week. The company will probably use the Boeing 777, a long-haul aircraft that can carry a large number of people.”
According to Emirates, it will use a Boeing 777-300ER that will offer eight First Class Private Rooms, 42 Business Class Seats and 310 Economy Class Spacious Seats.
Emirates SkyCargo will also provide a cargo capacity of more than 300 tons per week for Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for transport both inside and outside Phnom Penh. khmertimeskh
