“Sea Horse” spraying water statue in Kampot will attract more national and international tourists

Kampot province is even more attractive to tourists after the statue of the “sea horse” spraying water in the garden in front of the old provincial hall was completed.

This 8-metre-tall sea horse statue has water spraying from its mouth and is decorated with coloured lights. Many national and international tourists visit and take souvenir photos with sea horses and name it “Singapot.”

Mao Thonin, Governor of Kampot Province, on April 9, inspected the location of the Sea Horse Statue, which will be officially inaugurated on April 10, 2024, and said that Kampot is an important tourist destination for attracting national and international tourists.

He said that the province is rich in natural resources that serve the tourism sector, so on behalf of the provincial authorities, there must be improvements in areas with natural resources and tourism potential to operate in order to boost the economy of the people in the province, because when there are more tourists to visit, people will receive income from tourism, too
