Prime Minister Hun Manet received Tony Blair, the former British Prime Minister and Executive Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI), at the Peace Palace on Tuesday.
In the meeting, Blair praised Cambodia’s remarkable progress and highly evaluated Pentagonal Strategy Phase 1. He also expressed his intention to cooperate with the government to achieve Cambodia’s strategic goals.
Blair informed the premier of the TBI’s activities, saying that TBI is a strategic research institute with a mission to provide policy concepts and development strategies to governments worldwide.
Mr Hun Manet commended the TBI’s activities and mission and thanked the institute for its interest in cooperating with the government of Cambodia.
He briefed Blair on the one-year achievements of the 7th-mandate and encouraged the institute to discuss specific cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions of Cambodia.
The premier and Blair also exchanged experiences and views on potential areas for cooperation and socio-economic development, including education, vocational training, health, digital, and investment. AKP
