PM, EuroCham discuss strengthening trade, investment ties

Prime Minister Hun Manet, received a delegation from the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham Cambodia) at the Peace Palace yesterday, according to a press release issued by the Spokesperson for the Prime Minister.

At the outset, Ambassador of the European Union to Cambodia Igor Driesmans, who led the EuroCham delegation, praised the cooperation between the EU and Cambodia, particularly in trade, investment, and economic sectors.

Tassilo Brinzer, Chairman of EuroCham Cambodia, congratulated the government on its remarkable achievements over the past year. He reported on the Chamber’s significant activities and expressed gratitude to Cambodian ministries and institutions for their support and cooperation.

Brinzer also commended the government’s policy reforms aimed at enhancing the investment environment and committed to promoting Cambodia’s investment potential to attract more European investors.

Hun Manet expressed appreciation for the good relations and cooperation between Cambodia and the European Union. He thanked EuroCham Cambodia for its contributions to investment promotion and socio-economic development.

He shared insights on the government’s initiatives to improve the investment and business environment, enhance Cambodia’s competitiveness, and advance ministries’ digitalisation efforts to better communicate and deliver public services to the private sector. AKP
