As summer fades, new research has unveiled the best European destinations you can still visit for late-season sunshine.

It analysed over 50 countries, focusing on factors such as beach space per person, average temperatures, and daylight hours for September, October, and November to reveal the best autumn and winter holiday spots.

Topping the list – compiled by Wizz Air – is Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, which scored an impressive 42.7 out of 50. This 600-metre stretch of sand offers ample space for visitors, with average temperatures of 21 degrees and nine hours of sunshine daily during the autumn months, the research points out.

The research aims to help travellers discover hidden treasures away from crowded tourist hotspots, offering a perfect blend of space and ideal weather conditions for those seeking to extend their summer.
