CFA Society Cyprus unveils plans for roundtable and student challenge

The CFA Society Cyprus this week reaffirmed its commitment to promoting professional networking and excellence within the island’s financial community during its first post-summer member event.

In an official announcement, the CFA Society Cyprus noted that the gathering, which was held to mark the election of the association’s new board of directors, “provided attendees with the opportunity to engage with fellow members and industry professionals, exchange views on current financial trends, and explore prospects for future collaboration”.

During the event, the president of CFA Society Cyprus Nikos Potamaris, “expressed his gratitude to all participants and contributors”, highlighting the success of the gathering.

Moreover, he announced two key initiatives that further demonstrate the association’s commitment to professional development and education in the financial sector.

According to the announcement, the two initiatives include a Roundtable Discussion titled “Closing the Gender Pension Gap,” scheduled for October 22, 2024, under the auspices of House Speaker Annita Demetriou.

In addition, the CFA Institute University Research Challenge will take place on October 23, bringing together teams of university students to present their investment proposals before a panel of experts.
