Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that education systems around the world are continually updated and modified to keep pace with society’s ongoing development on Saturday morning (Oct 26) in Kang Meas District, Kampong Cham Province.
He underlined that Cambodia and even superpowers need to reform their education systems. The Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) havelaunched a series of education reforms, including curriculum updates and preparation for technology skills competitions.
Focusing on policy programs is important, but strengthening teachers’ capacities and retraining them to adopt new teaching methods is equally important.
However, Hun Manet underlined that while some teaching methods for certain skills were reformed, there was a tendency to revert to previous approaches, suggesting that not all methods are effectively integrated.
In this regard, Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his appreciation to MoEYS, led by Minister Hang Chuon Naron, for their hard work in reforming education to enhance efficiency and quality. He underlined that the Ministry currently focuses on students at the grassroots level to build a strong foundation for the future. Fresh News
