LOT Polish Airlines has relaunched flights between Warsaw and Larnaca, with the inaugural service departing Warsaw Chopin Airport at 10:40 on 28 October.
The Polish flag carrier will operate the route four times weekly during winter season on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Service frequency will increase to six weekly flights in summer, operating daily except Tuesdays.
The relaunch ceremony at Warsaw Chopin Airport was attended by Andrzej Ilków, chief executive of Polskie Porty Lotnicze, and Robert Ludera, director of LOT’s flight network office. The journey time to Larnaca is approximately 3.5 hours.
“At LOT Polish Airlines, we are greatly aware of how attractive of a destination Larnaca is. According to data from the Cypriot statistical office, Poland was, in 2023, the third-largest market in terms of the number of tourists who visited Cyprus”, said Ludera. “With the travel-related preferences of Poles taken into consideration, introduction of this destination into our flight network was an obvious move”.
Maria Kouroupi, director of aviation development and communication at Hermes Airports, said: “We are happy to welcome LOT back to Cyprus at a time that the demand between Poland and Cyprus is developing very well. LOT has always been an important partner and the introduction of flights during the winter period aligns with our goal to enhance year-round connectivity of the island”.
The morning departure time from Warsaw allows passengers to reach Larnaca with time to explore the city on their arrival day. The schedule also facilitates connections to other Polish destinations via Warsaw for Cyprus-originating passengers.
Tickets are available through lot.com, the LOT Contact Centre and LOT Travel offices.
