The Spanish Ambassador to Cambodia has requested the Council for the Development of Cambodia to examine the possibility of coordinating and organising a business forum in Cambodia to further disseminate investment information and incentives to Spanish businessmen.
Felipe De La Morena Casado, Ambassador of Spain to Cambodia, made this request in a working meeting with Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), on November 19.
The Ambassador affirmed his commitment to promoting bilateral relations, including investment, between Cambodia and Spain. In addition, the Ambassador also raised some concerns about attracting and promoting investment, demanding that Cambodia review and coordinate to better address them.
Felipe De La Morena Casado also requested the CDC to examine the possibility of coordinating the organisation of a business forum in Cambodia to further disseminate investment information and incentive sectors to Spanish businessmen.
Taking this opportunity, he also asked about the results of the Deputy Prime Minister’s visit to Spain last June.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister Chanthol informed about the excellent and fruitful results obtained from the investment door knocking mission in Spain, which the CDC coordinated with ministries, institutions, and all relevant parties in June 2024.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed full support for Spanish companies that plan to invest more in Cambodia.
