In the first 11 months of 2024, Cambodia received approximately 6 million international tourists, an increase of 22 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
This is according to a report by the Ministry of Tourism.
Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, said at the 11th Sea Festival in Kampot province on December 13, 2024: “In 11 months of 2024, Cambodia received a total of approximately 6 million international tourists, an increase of 22%, and approximately 20 million national tourists traveled throughout the country, an increase of 19.7%, of which the coastal area had approximately 8 million national tourists, an increase of 12.5%, and approximately 420,000 foreign tourists, an increase of 10.6%, compared to the same period in 2023.”
The Minister of Tourism stated that by the end of 2024, Cambodia expects to receive approximately 6.7 million international tourists, which is more than before COVID-19, and approximately 22 million domestic tourists.
