Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board of the CDC, on February 11, 2025, led his colleagues to meet with Daniel Spitzer, President and CEO of Mountain Hazelnuts, and Andreas Groetschel, CEO of Kamya AgriTrade, to discuss investment opportunities in the agro-industrial sector, especially the cashew industry in Cambodia.

On this occasion, the Secretary-General thanked investors for their interest in investing in the cashew sector in Cambodia and informed them of the Royal Government’s support and encouragement for investment projects in this sector, especially the noble initiative of Prime Minister Hun Manet in establishing a cashew industrial park, which will help improve the favourable business environment in this priority sector in Cambodia.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General presented the value chain of the cashew industry, starting from the upstream, especially related to the collection, drying and storage of cashew nuts.

In this regard, the Secretary-General asked companies to consider the possibility of investing in any part of the value chain and encouraged companies to continue studying the feasibility of investing in Cambodia.
