Air Cambodia launches round-trip flight service to Thailand

The national flag carrier Air Cambodia inaugurated its new flight service to Thailand offering daily flights using Airbus 320 or 321 aircraft.

The first flight took place on February 17 carrying more than 300 passengers for the first round-trip. Passengers were warmly welcomed with souvenirs on the first flight.

“We sincerely express our gratitude for the support on this new service which will be operated daily using Airbus 320 or 321 aircraft and we also offer business class services at a very comfortable and reasonable price,” the company said.

Zhan David, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Cambodia recently said that Air Cambodia significantly improved aircraft utilization and expanded its route network.

He said that the airline is committed to fulfilling its mission as the national flag carrier with the honour of serving the Cambodian people.

David stated that the company has always provided safe and convenient air travel services.

Air Cambodia plans to continuously expand its domestic and international route network. The airline successfully purchased three new aircraft last year, steadily moving towards a fleet size of 32, Zhan said.

Additionally, Air Cambodia plans to start flights to Japan, South Korea, and other destinations as soon as possible, with plans to launch intercontinental routes around 2026 as Cambodia’s aviation sector is booming, driven by growing demand for air travel.

Cambodia’s three international airports collectively handled a record high of 6.2 million passengers, according to a report from the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA).

Flight connections gradually began to reopen and attractive tourism policies have led to increased demand and flight connections, SSCA’s Secretary of State and Spokesman Sinn Chanserey Vutha said.

In 2025, flight connectivity is expected to increase further, while some airlines have already connected their service to Cambodia, he said.
