Larnaca and Paphos airports experienced their busiest month ever in August 2024, with a total of 1.6 million passengers passing through. This marks a significant increase of 5.7% compared to the same period last year.
According to ACI EUROPE, the top markets for Cypriot airports were the United Kingdom, Greece, Israel, Poland, and Germany. The most popular destinations included Tel Aviv, Athens, Vienna, Warsaw, and Manchester.
Hermes Airports, the operator of the two airports, has been working to enhance connectivity by collaborating with airlines and offering incentives. This has contributed to the strong growth in passenger traffic.
