A new mural has transformed the northeast wall of Bird Aviation’s hangar in Larnaca, turning an ordinary surface into a visual welcome for travellers arriving in Cyprus. The wall of Bird Aviation’s newly built hangar spans over 600 square metres and is among the first things passengers see as their aircraft lands.
Commissioned by the company, the mural serves as an artistic expression of Bird Aviation’s identity and local ties. It features the company’s mascot, Flyingo, a flamingo portrayed as an aircraft engineer, connecting aviation with the nearby Larnaca Salt Lake, a well-known stop for migratory birds.
“With this addition, Bird Aviation introduces a colourful, recognisable landmark that reflects the spirit of its work and offers a memorable welcome to those arriving in the country,” the company said in a press release.
