Cambodia, Canada hold talks to promote bilateral trade in agriculture, agri-food

Cambodia and Canada have discussed ways to promote bilateral trade in their agriculture and agri-food sectors, elevating it to the next level.

Rath Saravuth, the Ministry of Commerce secretary of state, and Diedrah Kelly, the Executive Director of the Canadian Indo-Pacific Agriculture and Agri-Food Office (IPAAO), who is based in Manila, the Philippines, discussed the issue on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the procedures for the exports and imports of agriculture, agri-food, and food safety in Cambodia.

They also discussed the possibility of establishing a precise and formal mechanism to promote bilateral trade in the above-said areas through organising business matching meetings (B2B), trade fairs, and building relations between the two chambers of commerce. AKP
