Cambodia won 20 awards in four categories at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2025) held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia from January 17 to 21.
At the ATF 2025, Cambodia won five ASEAN Green Hotel Awards, five ASEAN Homestay Awards, five ASEAN Public Toilet Awards, and five ASEAN Spa Service Standard Awards.
The awards were presented at the ASEAN Tourism Standards Awards Ceremony with the participation of Huot Hak, Cambodian Minister of Tourism, and his ASEAN counterparts as well as members of the tourism and private sectors, according to the ministry’s press release.
Huot Hak led a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism to attend the ATF 2025 in Johor, Malaysia from January 17 to 21, under the theme “Unity in Motion – Shaping ASEAN’s Tourism Tomorrow”.
Ministers and Leaders of Tourism from ASEAN member states, ASEAN Plus Three (China, Japan, and South Korea), India and Russia attended the AFF, as well as observer countries such as Timor-Leste and several partner organisations attended the Forum.
The Ministry of Tourism also led Cambodian private sector representatives and tourism operators to participate in the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) international tourism exhibition, featuring 176 exposition booths, 221 sellers, 332 buyers, and 106 media from 41 countries.
