The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and its Vietnamese counterpart held a number of productive meetings to boost trade and investment cooperation between the two neighbouring countries in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
The CCC delegation, led by its Vice-President Chhim Sok, engaged with Vietnamese counterparts including businessmen, investors, and key firms in Ho Chi Minh City from March 17-20, CCC stated in a press release issued on Monday.
The meetings focused on exploring and expanding mutual cooperation across various sectors, with a strong emphasis on promoting investment and trade.
“The main objective of the business visit is to facilitate cooperation between Cambodian and Vietnamese businessmen, establish trade partnerships, and visit production sites to exchange experiences in trade, production, and processing processes, as well as a special opportunity to showcase products between Cambodia and Vietnam,” Sok said.
The CCC delegation met with the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, and participated in a business matchmaking program, visited rice manufacturer TV Food Company Limited, lubricant manufacturer Indo-Petrol, Bao Ngoc spice factory, and attended the 2025 International Processing and Packaging Exhibition at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
“The business visit provided an opportunity for Cambodian businessmen to meet directly with Vietnamese businessmen to discuss and exchange ideas on potential sectors that both sides have to lead to future trade partnerships,” he said.
Vietnamese businessmen will make business visits to Cambodia to seek a better understanding and examine the possibility of partnering with Cambodian businessmen, as well as investing in Cambodia in priority sectors, especially agriculture, according to the CCC.
