CCCI visits Bird Aviation at Larnaca airport

A delegation from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its president, Stavros Stavrou, and the president of the Larnaca Chamber of Commerce, Nakis Antoniou, visited the facilities of Bird Aviation on Wednesday, located within the premises of the old Larnaca airport.

During the visit, the CCCI officials had the opportunity to tour the facilities, learn about the aircraft maintenance operations being conducted, and observe parts of these operations live. They subsequently met with the company’s CEO, Frederic Pralus, with whom they discussed the company’s development plans as well as the broader economic environment in Cyprus.

After the meeting, Pralus praised the work of the CCCI and the Larnaca Chamber of Commerce, stating, “It is our pleasure to welcome organisations that support entrepreneurship and the internationalisation of the Cypriot economy to our facilities. The Chamber’s contribution to the progress of the economy and employment is what led us to join as members of the Larnaca Chamber.”

For his part, Stavrou noted, “We had a productive meeting with the company’s representatives, which we are particularly pleased about. As the CCCI, we actively support the investments of organisations, especially in export-oriented sectors such as aircraft maintenance, in which Bird Aviation operates successfully.”
