CDC gears up for 3rd Advisory Council Meeting on automotive, electronics sectors

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) held a meeting with representatives from RMA (Cambodia) and Minebea (Cambodia) to prepare for the 3rd meeting of the Advisory Council for the development of the automotive and electronics sectors.

Nut-Un Voanra, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board (CIB) of CDC and Head of the Cambodia Industrial Development Policy (IDP) Secretariat, led the meeting on Monday on Monday.

Ngorn Saing, CEO of RMA (Cambodia) and Co-Chair of the Automotive Sector Representative of the Advisory Council, and Yasuyuki Sugawara, Accounting Manager of Minebea (Cambodia) and Co-Chair of the Electronics Sector Representative of the Advisory Council attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed preparations for the 3rd meeting of the Advisory Council, which is scheduled for April 2025.

It is important to highlight that the Advisory Council serves as a partnership mechanism between the state and the private sector, helping to guide the development strategies and action plans for both sectors.

Under the coordination of the IDP Secretariat, the two Co-Chairs will lead discussions with companies in both sectors to gather information, identify challenges, collect suggestions for reporting, and propose solutions for the Advisory Council meeting.

The meeting also explored potential future collaborations, such as discussions on skills development and workshops aimed at sharing experiences in both sectors.

The Deputy Secretary General expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the representatives of both companies for their continued collaboration with the Royal Government in the joint development of these sectors in Cambodia, particularly within the framework of the Cambodian Automotive and Electronics Development Roadmap.
