Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Concludes Productive Meetings at UN General Assembly

On September 27, 2024, His Excellency Constantinos Kombos, Minister of foreign affairs of Cyprus, concluded his meetings at the UN General Assembly in New York, where he held over 35 bilateral meetings with foreign ministers from countries including Bahrain, Algeria, Egypt, India, and Iran. The aim was to strengthen existing relationships and explore new areas of cooperation. He also signed an agreement with Kyrgyzstan to abolish visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders.

His Excellency Constantinos Kombos accompanied the President of Cyprus to bilateral meetings and participated in trilateral discussions with Egypt, Greece, and Jordan. Additionally, he met with U.S. Undersecretary Geoffrey Pyatt to discuss Cyprus-U.S. energy cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean. The visit concluded with a dinner hosted by President Christodoulidis for UN Security Council representatives and a separate event organized by Cypriot organizations in America.
