Cyprus showcased a range of traditional products at the 7th China International Import Expo in Shanghai, offering free samples of juices, wine, commandaria, zivania, and halloumi.
The event, held from November 5-10, 2024, served as an excellent opportunity to enhance Cyprus’ trade relations with China and other nations.
The Cypriot booth, managed by the Cypriot Trade Centre in Beijing on behalf of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, welcomed a large number of visitors, including consumers, entrepreneurs, traders, and officials from China and beyond.
Visitors were introduced to high-quality Cypriot products and the advantages of Cyprus as an international business hub.
Petros Petrou, Cyprus’ commercial counsellor in Beijing, participated in numerous media interviews, including with CCTV, to further promote Cyprus’ offerings.
The Cyprus pavilion also highlighted products already available in the Chinese market, such as juices, wine, commandaria, zivania, and halloumi.
The annual exhibition, running since 2018, is one of China’s largest international trade fairs.
This year, the event attracted over 852,000 visitors and hosted 3,496 companies from 152 countries and regions.
