Hong Kong’s FUNG Group Eyes Cambodia for Textile Investment

PHNOM PENH: A delegation from the Hong Kong-based FUNG Group, led by Dr. William Kwok Lun, expressed keen interest in investing in Cambodia’s textile industry during a meeting with HE Sun Chanthol, First Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

HE Chanthol highlighted Cambodia’s favorable investment climate, emphasizing its political stability, economic growth, young workforce, and ongoing infrastructure development. He also underscored the government’s commitment to supporting private businesses and improving the investment environment.

The FUNG Group delegation appreciated HE Chanthol’s insights and noted the positive changes in Cambodia’s business landscape. They expressed optimism about exploring investment opportunities in the textile and garment sectors, particularly within special economic zones.

The delegation emphasized their interest in environmentally sustainable practices, including renewable energy and gender equality in the workplace.
