On March 25, 2025, Huot Hak, the Minister of Tourism, welcomed eight Honorary Consuls General for a courtesy visit at the Ministry of Tourism.
The Honorary Consuls General present were Salah ESSA, Honorary Consul of Cyprus; Markus GRINDLING, Honorary Consul of Austria; Aurelio FLACCO, Honorary Consul of Italy; Torsten MUNTHER, Honorary Consul of Germany; SENG Takakneary, Honorary Consul of Mexico; Gerhard Jan Lennips, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands; KIM Tol Tan, Honorary Consul of Sweden; and Andrew J. Booth OBE, Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom.
The meeting facilitated an exchange of views regarding the development and attraction of tourists from the eight countries, addressing challenges, introducing new tourism products, and enhancing supporting infrastructure within the tourism sector.
During this productive meeting, the Honorary Consul commended the peace and security factors in Cambodia, expressing appreciation for the excellent safety provided to both national and international tourists, and considering Cambodia a very safe destination to visit.
