Huot Hak attends the closing ceremony of the training of the instructor course and the soft opening of the National Vocational School of Tourism

During the event, he also presented training certificates to trainers from the National Vocational School of Tourism and launched the school’s pilot project.

The ceremony was attended by Emmanuel Dolphul, Deputy Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Cambodia; Élisabeth Auffray, Regional Director of the French Chamber of Crafts and Industries (CMA); representatives from relevant ministries and institutions; delegates from CMA Île-de-France; Cambodia Tourism Federation; Cambodia Tourism Association and Cambodia Asia Pacific Tourism Association approximately 200 teachers, trainers, and students from the National Vocational School of Tourism.

In his remarks, the Minister highlighted that the Royal Government of Cambodia, in its 7th legislative term under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, has launched the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase 1, focusing on five strategic priorities: People, Roads, Water, Electricity, and Technology.

“The government places strong importance on education, training, and human capital development, aiming to ensure high-quality, skilled, ethical, and innovative human resources for the tourism sector,” said Hak.

He added that this includes the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Human Resource Development in the Tourism Sector 2017–2025, which is designed to strengthen the professional capacities of tourism workers both within and beyond the ASEAN region.

On this occasion, the Minister expressed his sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the French Republic in Cambodia, the French Development Agency (AFD), and experts from the French Chamber of Crafts and Industries (CMA Île-de-France) for their continued support in building the capacity of leaders, officials, and trainers at the Tourism Vocational School.

The event concluded with the awarding of professional training certificates to 17 trainers who successfully completed the course.
