Dr. Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received Zhang Chaomin, Chairman and CEO of Infinite Capital Holdings (ICAP), at the Peace Palace yesterday.
During the meeting, Zhang Chaomin briefed the Cambodian Premier on ICAP’s business operations, stating that the company has focused on investing in new materials, artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and carbon fibre.
He also expressed ICAP’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia in electric vehicles (EVs) and the production of EV components. He attributed this business interest to Cambodia’s complete peace and stability, its robust economic growth of approximately 6 per cent despite the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant uncertainty in the global economy.
Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed ICAP’s interest and emphasised the Royal Government’s encouragement for investments in the automotive component manufacturing sector and other supply chains to serve domestic, regional, and global markets.
The Prime Minister encouraged the company to continue conducting detailed studies and connecting and discussing with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to obtain comprehensive information as well as to understand the Royal Government’s policies being implemented to support and encourage investors in the country.
