Record crowds enjoyed their weekend promenade on Phnom Penh’s ‘Walk Street’ on Saturday night.

New attractions include a drama based on a scene from the movie “Putut Kumbhakar” on Saturday night, and on Sunday, there will be a traditional dance, the “Vay Krap” dance, so that citizens and foreign tourists can see and understand more clearly the traditional dance of our Khmer ancestors.

This was announced by Ms. Daw Samphor, Director of Administration and spokesperson for the Phnom Penh Municipal Hall, on the evening of March 15, 2025.

The Walking Street has been put into trial operation by the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration two days a week, Saturday and Sunday, from 6pm to 11pm, along Sisowath Avenue, from Paschim Chamkorn Street (Street 94) to the front of the Royal Palace.
