The 2025 Giant Doll Parade event in Siem Reap City, Siem Reap Province, held on February 22, 2025, received overwhelming support from the public and tourists.
Mr. Un Sawan, general manager of the giant puppet project, said that for 2025, there were 9 giant puppets, which are characters from myths and legends.
Among them are: 1- Tepomachcha, 2- Krut, 3- Hanuman (Bantey Srei style), 4- Neak (Bayon style), 5- To (Sambo Prey Ku style), 6- Preah Ganesh, 7- Neang Kanri, 8- Makar and 9- Asura (Bayon style),
The amazing dolls were assembled by a group of approximately 650 children from 19 public and private schools and NGOs.
Mr. Un Sawan added that 2025 is the 15th year that the project to erect and parade the giant puppets annually has been underway, with the participation and support of the private sector and citizens, making this annual giant puppet parade possible.
He stated that the 2025 Giant Doll Parade event had over 1,000 participants, including: Voices of Angkor (male players), Chaiyam, Hand Drum Group (hand drum music), Far Lakhon Circus Cambodia, Wat Reach Bo Primary School Music Group, Siem Reap Scout Music Group, Metthea Group (female drummers), and contemporary music groups.
