KeelX unveils AI chatbot aimed at streamlining fleet management

Limassol-based maritime analytics firm KeelX launched on Monday a generative AI chatbot designed to support faster decision-making and improve operational efficiency across the shipping industry.

According to the statement, KX-AI, is embedded in KeelX Analytics and enables users to query a range of topics including fleet performance, emissions management, market trends, regulatory developments and operational planning.

According to KeelX, the chatbot delivers instant, actionable insights using data from both its internal platform and external sources.

Targeted at fleet managers, operators, commercial teams and analysts, KX-AI is intended to simplify access to complex data through what the company described as a conversational interface.

Aristos Philis, CEO of KeelX, said that “KX-AI changes the game for maritime decision-making.”

“Whether you’re evaluating fleet emissions, analysing market rates, planning port calls or predicting machinery maintenance, you’ll get fast, data-backed answers,” he added.

Philis concluded by explaining that “From operational questions to broader industry insights, KX-AI is your go-to source for smarter decisions.”

The company said the tool can be used to compare fuel consumption across vessels on similar routes, identify ships at risk of non-compliance and suggest remedial actions, provide insights into freight rates and regional trade, and estimate port stay durations and suggest ways to optimise costs..

It can also assess the likelihood of machinery failure and summarise the latest updates on maritime emissions rules.

KeelX added that KX-AI learns continuously, refining its responses over time. It can also generate customisable reports and visual data outputs, aimed at making technical analysis more accessible.

According to the company, the chatbot is designed to cut down the time spent on manual analysis and help users make quicker, more confident decisions.

It is also expected to support both operational and commercial performance, from reducing emissions to improving competitive positioning.
