Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DP World, expressed his interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia, particularly in key sectors including transportation, logistics and industrial park development.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem paid a courtesy call to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on Wednesday at the National Assembly.
The CEO also informed the Prime Minister that DP World, a company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), specialises in port logistics and supply chain technology and has operations across ASEAN and around the globe.
For his part, Hun Manet welcomed the company’s interest in investing in Cambodia. He underlined the Royal Government’s policies and mechanisms that support investment, highlighting Cambodia’s connectivity to regional and global markets through various bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements, including the recently signed comprehensive economic partnership agreement between Cambodia and the UAE.
On the occasion, Hun Manet also encouraged DP World to consider the logistics sector and industrial park development as promising areas for investment. He further urged the company to engage in discussions with the relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to explore these opportunities.Fresh News
