Malaysia and Australia are exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia’s agro-industry and agriculture sectors.
The intention was unveiled in a meeting between Yim Norn, Director of the Kampong Speu Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and a group of investors from Malaysia and Australia on Wednesday.
Norn informed the visiting investors of the province’s potential in agriculture, including the fragrant rice “Romdul” and mango “Keo Romeat”, agro-industry, and animal husbandry.
The provincial department director appreciated the investment consideration, which, once operational, will create more job opportunities in the province.
The group of investors expressed their interest in growing organic vegetables, raising livestock, and growing agro-industrial crops for export to their countries and the world. AKP
