The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) will continue to collaborate with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) next year to implement the Agricultural Development Linking Investment to Trade (CAFE-2025) programme.
Promoting investment in Cambodia’s agricultural sector to the international market and investment in Cambodia’s potential agricultural products with effective efficiency.
In a working meeting yesterday with Rebekah Bell, the FAO Representative in Cambodia, on the cooperation of the five-year country programme framework, Dith Tina, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, welcomed her and expressed his pleasure in the current cooperation with the FAO and to continue and strengthen future cooperation.
The minister highlighted that the agricultural sector is of great importance in ensuring food security, improving the livelihood of farmers, ensuring economic and environmental sustainability, and supporting national economic growth.
At the same time, the minister also discussed the Agricultural Development Programme Linking Investment to Trade (CAFE-2025), through the collaboration of the FAO, which will be implemented next year to promote investment in Cambodia’s agricultural sector to the international market and investment in the potential of Cambodia’s agricultural products.
