The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for collaboration aimed at improving international academic exchanges and fostering cooperation in the field of technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
The signing ceremony took place under the high chairmanship of Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, and CHEN Jiquan, Director of Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd., at the Ministry’s headquarters on Tuesday.
On this occasion, the Minister stated that the cooperation aims to promote technical and vocational education and training in accordance with Chinese and German standards, while also encouraging the development of skilled professionals to support Cambodia’s industrial growth and wider economic development.
The Minister expressed his hope that, through the expertise of Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd., Cambodian students would benefit from high-quality technical and vocational education and training, enabling them to acquire advanced skills and strong work competencies.
He also emphasised the importance of integrating modern technology into technical and vocational training to equip Cambodian citizens with practical skills aligned with current technological trends—an essential factor in improving workforce productivity and making Cambodia a more attractive destination for foreign investment.
In response, CHEN Jiquan supported the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training’s intention to modernise to boost labour productivity for Cambodian citizens in line with market needs, which is linked to the latest modern technology and is crucial for attracting investors.
