The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) is stepping up to address the market shortage in the agricultural sector by injecting new knowledge and understanding of export procedures to Khmer entrepreneurs while organising an international event to showcase the Kingdom’s agro-products.
Kao Kosal, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) in charge as Director General of Trade Promotion on Tuesday presided over the seminar theme ‘Imported Products Demand of Japan, Malaysia and the Republic of Korea’ which saw the participation of MoC officials, Khmer traders and entrepreneurs.
The seminar was conducted with the purpose of providing opportunities for Cambodian businessmen to gain new knowledge about international trade processes, especially on the exportation procedures aimed at ensuring the efficiency of local products moving to the international market.
Besides, the objective of the event is also to spread the understanding of market demand, trade environment, and mindset of Japanese, Malaysian and Korean consumers.
At the same time, MoC yesterday issued an announcement to inform businessmen and the public that the Haikou Foreign Affairs Office will organise the fourth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) scheduled to be held from April 13-18 this year at the Hainan International Convention Center (HICC) in Haikou city, Hainan province, China.
The CICPE is focused on displaying and promoting featured products from its 44 international sub-cities as well as building stronger concrete cooperation with participants. Additionally, Cambodian products have been granted a free special showcase area in accordance with their arrangement.
Since MoC is a facilitator for Cambodia, every Khmer entrepreneur, trader, and all interested in the aforementioned event are invited to take part in the CICPE next month and they may register through the Department of Exhibition Affairs, General Directorate of Trade Promotion, and MoC before the deadline on March 23. khmertimeskh
