The National Police has launched a 24/7 emergency hotline service for foreigners.
Expats, tourists and diplomats can dial either of 031 201 2345, 031 601 2345, or email hotinfocnp@police.gov.kh round-the-clock to seek immediate help.
General Sar Thet, National Police Chief, said details of the new service have been shared with embassies and consulates.
Gen Thet said that the initiative seeks to enhance the mechanism for safety of foreigners, especially mission staff, which will encourage foreign investment and boost tourism in the country.
Gen Thet added that National Police, with support of the Government and the Ministry of Interior, is committed to preventing and cracking down on crimes of all hues – particularly cyber fraud and other modern threats.
The hotline is part of a broader move to build trust domestically and internationally in Cambodia’s leadership and public security services, Gen Thet said.
The hotline service underscores Cambodia’s commitment to maintaining a secure environment for all who live in or visit the Kingdom, he added.

Lieutenant General Chuon Narin, Deputy National Police Chief and Phnom Penh Police Chief, said in March this year that the number of crimes in the capital during the first quarter of the year have come down to 122 from 140 compared to the same period last year.
Lt Gen Narin said that though instances of theft and robbery have come down, the Phnom Penh Police Department is still doubling down on patrolling sensitive areas.
