Over 270 investment projects get approval

The Ministry of Development announced the approval of 271 investment projects throughout Greece, with a total budget of 858 million euros.

According to a statement, the approvals concern two cycles of tourism (162 investments) and one cycle of manufacturing (109 investments) of the Investment Incentives Law of 2022.

Businesses will receive €224 million as a grant and another €178 million will be in tax exemptions.

It is noted that 4,420 new jobs will be created following these investments.

The Ministry of Development emphasizes that special support is provided to Thessaly, which suffered severe damage during Storm Daniel, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, while tourism investments are being met to a very large extent in both Crete and the South Aegean, where most requests were submitted.

According to the commitments, all the investment plans of the regional unit of Evros were approved. Similarly, in the rest of the country, investment plans were approved that will contribute to their further development.

In addition, it is pointed out that there is guaranteed access to loan financing for all the approved investment plans with the guarantee of the Greek state from the DELFI fund of the Hellenic Development Bank.

The goal is sustainable and balanced development throughout Greece, with particular emphasis on border areas, the statement concluded.
