Paphos’s Latchi port set for €50 million upgrade

The Latchi port will be expanded in a €50 million upgrade project, Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades announced following a meeting at Polis Chrysochous municipality.

He said the Cyprus Ports Authority project aims to enhance maritime and land infrastructure at the port, which serves as a key gateway to the Akamas peninsula and a departure point for leisure boats and coastal cruises.

Plans include 700 metres of new quay walls, 360 metres of floating docks, and 160 additional berths. The development will feature 4,500 square metres of facilities, including boat maintenance areas, fuel stations, restaurants, entertainment venues and offices for customs, port police and fisheries departments.

The tender process is expected to complete by February 2026.

The project’s first phase, focusing on boat berthing areas, will finish in February 2028, with full completion scheduled for August 2028.
