Pen Bona: The expressions of Cambodians in Australia reflect the stark differences between supporters and opponents

Pen Bona, chief of the Government Spokesperson Unit (RGSU) said that the number of Cambodian supporters of the Royal Government in Australia on March 3, 2024 was overwhelming compared to the number of dissidents.

He added that they expressed their dignified views without saying anything offensive to the opposition, that is, they only expressed their love for the Royal Government and the Prime Minister.

“Samdech Hun Manet advised the supporters not to fight with the opposition, even though they used inappropriate words against him and the supporters of the Royal Government, because Samdech did not want to see a divisive conflict between Khmer and Khmer overseas,” Pen Bona added.

He continued that a small group of dissidents, including the media supporting them, violated the rights of government supporters by accusing them of accepting money and accusing the government of hiring people to perform.

In addition, they even used a lot of insulting words to the Royal Government and the Prime Minister. These are violations of rights and harmful to the honor and dignity of others.

“This view reflects that of Samdech Prime Minister Hun Manet being a pious leader and wants to see Cambodians united everywhere. This is the spirit of a leader who is not different from the spirit of parents to their children,” Bona said.

He added that as a result, the accusers are no different from ‘throwing rice husks in the wind.’ This is the strong advantage of the Royal Government of the Cambodian People’s Party, which won the hearts of people, both inside and outside the country, to turn to support the CPP. khmertimeskh
