President Nikos Christodoulides has inaugurated Cyprus’ Business Support Center (BSC) – a one-stop-shop for both Cypriot and foreign investors seeking to establish or expand their business activities in Cyprus.
The launch of the BSC marks a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to cut red tape, streamline services, and attract strategic investment.

Taking to X, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis said the BSC is not just another service: “It is the first step toward embodying a new approach to how the state should operate: with transparency, speed, and genuine support for entrepreneurship.”
“Cyprus is changing. And it is changing in practice,” he said. “With planning, determination, and collaboration with the private sector, we are turning good intentions into tangible results—for a Cyprus that is more competitive, more investment-friendly, and fairer for all.”
Letymbiotis concluded by citing previous remarks by President Christodoulides: “We are creating a point of contact—a one-stop shop—for both Cypriot and foreign investors who wish to operate or expand their activities in Cyprus.”
President: “A practical step toward a Cyprus with less bureaucracy and better service”
President Christodoulides had announced the BSC’s opening date at the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation’s AGM in early May, where he unveiled key elements of the government’s strategy to strengthen private sector activity.
Describing it as a practical step toward “a Cyprus with less bureaucracy and better service”, he said the new centre is designed to act as the single point of contact for investors, Cypriot and foreign, seeking guidance, support and faster licensing.
The centre will bring together all key licensing authorities under one roof, cutting down on delays and making it easier for investors to navigate Cyprus’ regulatory system.
The BSC will operate through a partnership of public bodies, including the Strategic Developments Sector (SDS) of the Department of Urban Planning and Housing, a liaison from Invest Cyprus, and the Business Facilitation Unit (BFU) of the Ministry of Energy.
The BFU, which has been in operation since January 2022, already plays a key role in supporting businesses under the national Strategy for Attracting Investments and Talent.
It acts as a contact point for both existing and new businesses, providing personalised guidance on permits, helping resolve delays with state authorities, and supporting fast-track registration with tax, insurance and corporate registries.
Companies of foreign interest can also register through the BFU to access incentives for hiring third-country nationals, while renewable energy projects benefit from its Digital One-Stop Service (DOSS) platform, a centralised online hub that offers clear information and application tracking for licensing.
