Local real estate firm, Prince Real Estate
Group has officially announced an agreement with the Radisson Hotel Group to introduce two of the hotelier’s branded hotels to Phnom Penh’s hospitality sector by 2026, in a signing ceremony in Phnom Penh recently.
In a collaboration between Prince Happiness Plaza, a property of the Prince Group located in Phnom Penh’s Tonle Bassac district, and the Radisson Hotel Group, an international hotel company with operations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, the partnership will debut two new hotel and serviced apartment offerings within part of the Prince Happiness Plaza project, namely the Radisson Red Phnom Penh and Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences.
The two luxury hotels slated in the new deal are scheduled to open by quarter one of 2026 and will represent Radisson Hotel Group’s debut in the Cambodian market.
Last week’s signing ceremony included Seng Meng Hong, Secretary of State and Chief of Cabinet of the Ministry of Tourism, along with key representatives of the two companies, Ramzy Fenianos, Asia Pacific Chief Development Officer of Radisson Hotel Group and Edward Lee, CEO of Prince Real Estate Group.
During the ceremony, Fenianos noted that the Radisson Hotel Group’s agreement with Prince Happiness Plaza represents an important partnership, providing the perfect opportunity for Radisson Hotel Group to debut in Cambodia.
“Cambodia is a key emerging market with vast potential for business and leisure travel, so this dual-branded development will add considerable value to our company’s rapidly expanding portfolio in South East Asia,” he said.
The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences Phnom Penh, the group five star sub-brand, is slated to total 250 keys once completed, including 160 guest rooms and serviced apartments and 90 branded residences, ranging from studios up to three-bedroom residences.
Along with five star amenities and services, guests at the Radisson Blu will enjoy panoramic views of the capital city’s skyline and river, a rooftop swimming pool and a sky bar.
Offering a business-orientated hotel, the Radisson Red Hotel Phnom Penh will comprise 200 suites inside the greater Prince Happiness Plaza complex, including deluxe and one-bedroom suites.
The Radisson Red sub-brand offers a four star hotel experience with an emphasis on modern design and technology. Corporate travellers will also benefit from a co-working space, reading lounge and event venues that are suitable for hosting both business and social meetings.
Secretary of State Seng noted that the chosen location for the venture, Prince Happiness Plaza, represents one of the leading property developments in Phnom Penh in a strategic location, and the partnership with Radisson reflects a strong prospect in further boosting the tourism industry.
Meanwhile, Radisson’s commitment to opening its doors in the capital demonstrates the firm’s faith in Cambodia’s growing tourism sector, he said.
Prince Real Estate Group’s CEO Lee said that together with Radisson Hotel Group, Prince Happiness Plaza will continue to explore the hospitality market in Phnom Penh to offer unparalleled services to both domestic guests and overseas visitors, “to create a new template for quality business travel lifestyle and to contribute to Phnom Penh’s influence in the region ultimately.”
He also noted that the new partnership offers a boost in potential earnings for owners of condominium units within the Prince Happiness Plaza development.
